World Cinema


SinemaZetu International Film Festival ( SZIFF ) is a competitive festival, where Feature Films, Drama Series, Documentaries & Short Films compete for SZIFF Awards,2019. The Film festival portrays both, World Cinema and Swahili Panorama to a wide range of film lovers and audience. The colorful Award Nite will be held on 23rd of February 2019.
World Cinema representation can be of movie from any country, produced or subtitled in English. Thus, any movie that will showcase the cultural diversity of the country can be part of the festival.
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. World Cinema screening is scheduled from 11th of January 2019 .The festival showcase masterpieces from around the world and measure the quality of films from the World of Cinema World Cinema is truly a cultural exchange and is a representation of the nation in the context of its social and cultural ethos. Every new edition of the Film Festival gives a whole new outlook on the World of Cinema and Filmmaking.
The Festival also organizes retrospectives and tributes to its pioneers, as a contribution towards the history and evolution of cinema.

The winners of 'World Cinema' will be offered ' Azam TV International Films Awards '.
In acknowledgement of the role 'World Cinema' plays in contemporary society, festivals bestow awards to filmmakers as a tribute to their creativity, innovation and social status. Certificate of Excellence & Awards will be for the below categories:
